The restaurant has been designed to meet LEED Silver Certification standards through the U.S. Green Building Council, and will operate as a Green Restaurant, with pending certification by the Green Restaurant Association in keeping with The Farm’s commitment to sustainability.
On a daily basis, we are recycling, composting and minimizing our landfill trash. We use only in-house filtered water systems, to make the most of water from local resources, without the high impact of bottles, transportation, carbon emissions and expensive water.
Much of the interior fixtures and furnishings are made of at least 50% post-consumer recycled content, have been recycled or reclaimed, or have been manufactured with sustainability in mind. Elements such as the walls, ceiling, some parts of the flooring and fabrics of contemporary design were sourced specifically for their green qualities.
