Through the Eyes of the Farmer
The American family farmer is truly at the heart of Farmers Fishers Bakers as the restaurant is owned by genuine, hardworking, American family farmers that belong to the North Dakota Farmers Union.
We strive to source the freshest products seasonally and regionally whenever possible, and our meals are prepared with the utmost care and attention by our talented chefs and culinary team. “Whenever possible” is important to note; we acknowledge for example that we don’t take tomatoes off the menu when they aren’t in local season, thus we’re buying them from far and wide, but with an eye to look for sources that are family farms as opposed to corporate farms. This goal, of using family farms as opposed to corporate farms is one that we sometimes fall short of, but it is nice to know that we’re always trying, and often succeeding. The supply chain is complicated to navigate, but that won’t stop us from always trying. Farmers Fishers Bakers menus are tributes to the sources of our food, to the workers who harvest it, and to independent craftspeople of all means. From the menu to the interior design and everything in between, our restaurant operates and is guided by a very simple principal: we see everything and share everything Through The Eyes Of The Farmer..
Our menu is crafted on a foundation of seasonal ingredients from abundant and healthy sources, and the sushi bar is constantly adjusting its offerings to meet and exceed the standards of sustainable seafood. Our interior is designed and enhanced by North American artisans – from our individually handcrafted chairs to our interlocking wood ceiling hand-installed by Canadian woodworkers, to our one-of-a-kind American flag mural and welcome desk mural, installed onsite by regional artists.
Above all, Farmers Fishers Bakers seeks to honor and respect the strong values of the farmers who grow our food and the folks that harvest it, while celebrating the independent spirit of craftspeople and artisans from across the country.
